Experiencing Pain In Ear Due To Residual Water Due To Surfing
I went surfing yesterday and had residual water in my ear. This was uncomfortable until this morning when I tried to clear it, now it is extremely painful. I cannot get a doctors appointment. Is it serious enough to go to A and E? I have taken paracetamol and codeine.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your query. The water when goes inside the ear causes problems almost immediately. Appearance of fullness or any such problems can be due to fluid build up inside the ear drum that is within the middle ear. Hence to confirm the diagnosis you should consult A and E , get proper medications as paracetamol and codeine may not be sufficient. Do not instill anything into the ear as the diagnosis is not certain.
