Experiencing Pain On The Sides Of The Ribs & Heart Rate During Rest Is About 103
I have a heart rate of 103 whilst resting, is this on the high side? I have had alot of pain under the left hand side of my ribs. It almost feels as if nothing is fitting inside anymore. I also have pain in the upper part of my back on the left side and shoulder pain.
Hi, As rare told your resting heart rate is 103, it is tachycardia ie fast heart rate (heart rate more than100 is tachycardi. Also the nature of chest pain and it's radiation to back, compressing nature all indicate possibility of heart pain.
You should immediately visit emergency care and undergo electrocardiogram (ECG) probably it will give important clues also blood tests for cardiac enzymes like Trop T/CPK-MB/Trop I, echocardiogram (2DEcho) should be done all these help in diagnosis of heart related pain (myocardial ischemia/infarction), till all these report done you should take loading dose of antiplatelet and statin.
Other rare possibility is pain related to pancreas for diagnosis blood levels of pancreatitis enzymes like Lipase/Amylase, ultrasonography of abdomen, if required CT scan of abdomen may required.
So immediately visit emergency care.
