Experiencing Serious Bleed Clots And Heavy Bleeding During Periods
My wife has had serious bleed clots and heavy bleeding during her period. My research makes me think she has hemolytic anemia. She has developed a new habit of chewing ice. Other symptoms I have noticed are fatigue, restless legs, pale skin. She had Mitral valve repaired with a pig valve at age 15. She is now 34. Advice?

Hi, thanks for using HCM.
Heavy bleeding doesn't always mean haemolytic anaemia. hormonal variations are most common cause for heavy bleed. other symptoms are as a result of blood loss which has resulted in anaemia. examination by a gynaecologist is required and endometrial study for cause. ask her to take food rich in iron content and healthy diet to balance excess loss.
Regards
