Experiencing Severe Pelvic Floor Pain

I am a 62 year old female. Had a total hysterectomy 30 years ago. I had a bladder sling done about 15 years ago. For the past 10 years I have experienced sever pelvic floor pain. The doctor said I had IC and I have been taking Elmiron for several years. Did not help the pain. The pain is the only indictor I had for IC. The pain is much more intense lately. Went to an Urologist today. The cystoscope procedure said I had a healthy bladder and unless the Elmiron helps, stop taking it. What actions should I now take? The pressure feels like a bowling ball is pressing on my pelvic floor. Sometimes so pain, it stops me in my tracks. Thank you

Hi welcome to healthcare magic
I understand your query and concern.
Your symptoms are suggestive of pelvic floor laxity secondary to age and hysterectomy.I advise you to get an ultrasound abdomen and transvaginal ultrasound to look for any pathology.Meanwhile stop your present medication and take Tab.Meftal spas and Tab.Pantop D daily for 10 days.In resistant cases you can go for sling surgeries.
Consult your gyneacologist for expert management and follow up.
Hope I have answered your query at the moment.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you
