Experiencing Sharp Pain In Ribs During Periods

During my period I get a sharp pain below my ribs (in the middle). It feels a tender and bloated. The rest of the month there is no pain. I am 28, about 5ft and weigh 45kg. This month I also experienced what seemed to be two periods back to back (one started on the Friday, then the following Friday another seemed to start...both heavy).

Hello,

It is not mentioned if your periods are regular or you suffer from any other gynecological issues.

Pain below the ribs can cause if you have Severe gastritis or even an ulcer.

But since you have it exclusively during your menstruation it would be best for you to consult your gynecologist for further investigation for either Endometriosis or PCOD or any other gynecology related ailments.

In case of the above-mentioned problems also you can have menstruation multiple times.
