Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have been experiencing weight loss ( 18 lbs. over 1 month) loss of appetite and fatigue. I have type 1 Diabetes and been told that I may have an obsorption issue. I have been tested for Celiac, and have had a colonoscopy which have all come back negative. I have low thyroid count (per my Dr.) and dosage has been increased twice but I still seem to be not obsorping any nutrients and pills that I am taking. Because I am on an insulin pump my sugar has not been affected but definitely my thyroid and my appetite. Any idea what this could be?
Hi, medically it is a confusing issue, loss of appitite and fatigue, colon good, it appears that you have a defeciency of the enzymes, and gastric hyperacidity. So i advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis, you may need to have a gastroscopy. Thank you.
