hi..i am 27 years old..im married & i have 1 kid..previously, im using 28-day pills of trust & then i switch to althea pills a 21-day pill and which is also one of the trust products.. i already take 2 tablets..i decided to switch to this pill because i maybe lose weight and to get rid of my pimples..i have read the instructions, that after taking the 21 tablet i need to stop for 7 days before taking the next pack and i will wait for my menstration within that period..my question is..while waiting for my menstration, this 7 days is a safe period if i need to have contact with my husband??

21 day tablet contains progesterone and estrogen and this will prevent ovulation and after its withdrawal you get your periods. within 7 days. these 7 days are safe periods for having contact with your partner. you only get a withdrawal bleed and is not your menstrual bleed. both these drugs give equal side effects. but comparitively 21 day pills is better than the 28 day one.
