Extremely Heavy Periods With Huge Clots. No Help From Uterus Scraping. Suggested Removal Of Uterus. Removal Of Ovaries Recommended?
Iam 50 years old, and I had a uterus scraping in January to eliminate spotting after period, but it did not work. Actually my period is extremely heavy with huge clogs. My doctor has recommended me to remove my uterus . He indicated that it is up to me to remove the ovaries. I have read in several articles that the ovaries produces little bit of hormone Ten years after menaupase . My doctor says that after the age of 50 , they do not produce anything. Should I keep or remove my ovaries? What is your opinion on this matter. I knw that hormones are very important for the body to function well.
Better to remove the ovaries also as told by your doctor. Because: -If the ovaries are left behind in future complications like formation cysts, benign or malignant growths etc. can develop. -After hysterectomy, the ovaries may not function for long time as the end organ will be removed. -In body other structures like adipose issue, adrenals etc. will also produce hormones. So in my opinion better to follow your doctor's advice. For more details you can ask me through: http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-sree-gouri-sr/63429 Take care.
