Extremely Painful, Throbbing Pain In Vagina. Ten Weeks Post Partum. No Help From Ibuprofen, Codeine. Normal?
Hello there I hope you can help? I am ten weeks post partum and its my third day of menstruation and I am experiencing extremely painful throbbing /pulse type pain in my vagina is this to be expected ? Ihad similar pain earlier on post partum and was wondering if it's just the blood loss causing the pain in that area ?I have taken 15mg of codeine and 600mg ibuprofen 45 minutes ago but it hasn't helped?
The female reproductive system undergoes numerous changes post-partum, so please do not worry. You can take pain medication to control the pain and give you relief, but your symptoms should subside as the reproductive system returns to normal. You can either way consult your doctor and get yourself physcially examined.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
