Eye Discomfort After Rubbing It. What Could It Be?

I rubbed my eye last evening and within a few seconds the fluid in my right eye had a rippling affect with like a brightness of color around what was like my eye -- I quickly washed my eye and put some drop in for dry eye - it went away within a few minutes.

Then again this morning it came back but then went away quckly - I have no idea what I did or what it could be.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
When you press your eye you might see flashes of light, haloes & your eye blood vessels. If that is what you are talking that's normal.
But if your seeing lightening like flashes, I would be concerned. Please see an ophthalmologist.
