Face Swollen, Red, Unable To Open Mouth, Neck Hurts, Severe Headache. On Antibiotics. How To Get Relief?

i have been in a er for almost 7 days getting 4 different antibocs cause my left side of my face is swollen and red cant really open my mouth hurts in my neck and have had a serve headache and pain. they have had me on a liquid diet the whole time. it goes down and red any more then will swollen and all red in face and neck again. don't seem right. its it? their wanting to send me home I don't feel any better

Hello,

Have you got your wisdom tooth erupted or is it still impacted?

Deep carious or periodontal infected tooth can also cause swelling.

I would suggest you to get a thorough clinical evaluation done by a dentist.

Impacted or deep carious tooth has to be extracted or retained depending on condition of infected tooth.

Meanwhile,Amoxycillin along with clavulanic acid and analgesic has to be administered to relieve underlying infection.

Gargle frequently with lukewarm saline.
