Fallen Arches Due To Arthritis In Big Toe Joint. Possible Reason For Pain In Shin Bone?
Hi - I have arthritis in big toe joint resulting in fallen arches. I have been getting increasing pain going up my leg, into calf , and now around outer side and behind knee. I feel a gnawing ache at front central shin bone and flashes of severe pain here and there. Is this a knock on effect of fallen arches or something else - possible arthritis in shin? On standing up my leg is weak and I almost feel I need a stick to help me walk.
These symptoms are suggesting that you may be having a disc prolapse. I would recommend you to get MRI of the spine to see if there is a disc protrusion and if yes then how much . According to that you can plan . If it is in early stage then treatment will be physiotherapy and muscle relaxant and Pregabalin and Methylcobal. If it is in late stages then surgery is needed. Till that time, avoid bending forward and weight lifting.
