Father Passed Away. Was Vomiting Blood. Is It Due To Pancreatitis?

My dad passed away a day ago...When he arrived at the hospital he was pretty much gone, but his heart was still beating about 119. His gf said he had been vomitting blood all day but refused to go to the hospital. The dr said he died of pancriatities, but I looked it up and it said nothing about vomiting blood. When the ambulance picked him up he was still alive but when he arrived at the hospital he was gone...does this sound like pancriatites?
