Fatigue After Skiing. Unable To Keep One Foot In Front Of Other, Feeling Stuffed. Symptoms Of Diabetes?
I am unusually fatigued after a half day of skiing yesterday. Three vigourous runs that were strenuous and a bit scary, Came home feeling like I could hardly put one foot in front of the other. I had eaten one cookie, one sandwhich, drank 3 hot milos. One day later I am still stufffed. I am over weight, and not terribly fit ... is it possible these are onset symptoms of diabetes.
Though physical inactivity and increased weight makes a person more at risk of developing diabetes, your increased fatigue after skiing does not mean you are a diabetic.
Diabetes is diagnosed based on a fasting blood sugar sample, a 2 hour post meal blood sugar sample or HbA1c.
A fasting blood sugar greater than 126 mg/dl or 7 mmol/l A 2 hour post meal greater than 200 mg/dl or 11.1 mmol/l A HbA1C of 6.5%
If you are concerned regarding the possibility of diabetes then you may want to consider visiting your doctor to have some bloods done.
what i feel is ,you overstuffed a little bit though it should have subsided by now..try using a motility enhancing drug e.g. domperidone
Regarding Diabetes, the preliminary test to exclude is a GTT ,glucose tolerance test which will reveal a prediabetic condition of glucose intolerance meaning, whether you have chances of having the disease or not.
otherwise, fasting levels above 115mg% and 2hour post meal levels above 140mg% can be diagnosed diabetic... HbA1C levels of more than 6.2 are confirmatory.
talk to your doctor and pl confirm
hop this helps
