Fatigue, Muscle Weakness, Tingling In Hands And Feet, Paleness, Face Numbness, Lungs Feel Fluid Filled After Child Birth. What Is Wrong?

I have been dealing with symptoms for 3 years right after the birth of my twins. I have extreme fatigue, muscle weakness, tingling in hands and feet, mottled looking legs at time with cold pale/blue feet. Facial numbness, eye lid twitching and small muscle spasms in legs and abd. I feel tired all the time. I have SOB from just taking, feels like lungs are full of fluid )CXR clear) labs are generally good. Elevated Albumin and Total protein. My doc is thinking autoimmune and Im wondering if neuro. Just wanted some guidance. Ive been doing this for 3 yrs and no answers it progressively getting worse. Any suggestions.

hello and welcome to HCM,
The symptoms that you have mentioned- muscle weakness, eye lid twitching, small muscle spasms, tingling sensation in hands and feet, mottled look of legs and cold/ pale blue feet are more suggestive of an autoimmune disease.
It is evident from the history that you may be suffering from mixed connective tissue diseases.
In autoimmune disease the antibodies are directed against one's own body.
Autoimmune diseases are more common in females in reproductive age group.
Autoimmune diseases are diagnosed by presence of antibodies in the serum.
You need to consult a physician (rheumatologist preferably) for a clinical examination and investigations.
The are different antibodies specific for different connective tissue diseases.
If any of the antibody comes out to be positive, treatment has to be instituted.
Steroids are the mainstay of treatment in autoimmune diseases.
Steroids are not curative but prevent the progression and worsening of the disease.
