Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read your details.

At your age knee problems are not common until unless there is injury or there is abnormal use.

The abnormal voice you are able to hear is known as crepitus. This is generally there due to changes in cartilage over the bones of knee joint.

If you are not doing exercises or you are obese then the common reason behind this problem may be excessive loading of joint. There are early degenerative changes which can lead to this problem.

At present you should do following to have relief in this-

-If you are obese then reduce your weight.

-Start doing some exercises like-

-Avoid squatting movements.

-Take a good analgesic like advil or aleeve.

-Start taking joint supplements like glucosamine & chondroitin sulfate.

Hope this all will help you.

With best wishes.
