Feel Sore Throat, Have Pain While Swallowing. Tonsils Looks Swollen And Coughing Hurts With Blood In Mucus. Suggest?
Hi. I dont know what is wrong with me. I feel like i have a sore throat because when i swallow there is pain. I looked in the mirror and it looks as if my tonsils are swollen. Everytime i cough it hurts and when i do cough there is a little bloodin the mucus that i do cough up. I need an answer to this problem very quickly

it looks like acute tonsillitis
take amoxycillin+clavulanate(500+125) one tablet twice daily
warm saline gargling or listerine gargling2-3 times daily
paracetamol 500mg 3 times daily
antihistamine like phexophenadine 60mg twice daily
if no improvement within 2-3 days consult ENT surgeon

May be due to,
1 Septic pharyngitis with acute tonsil infection, the red swollen bumps are of enlarged tonsils on both side.
Can be confirmed by physical examination by an E N T and get his opinion.
When tonsil infection there it develops allergy or vice versa .
When allergy and infection both there develops mucus ( phlegm ) .
In allergy usually there are dry hacking cough , which develops blood in mucus.
2 If cough is more than 20 days old & blood sometimes then get in X ray chest as it may be due to tuberculosis. Diagnosis can be confirmed by physician .
So consult an E N T / Physician and get their opinion according to situation. Good luck.
