Feeling Cold, Sharp Sensation In Left Side Of Chest After Smoking Meth. What Could This Be?

My girlfriend has been smoking meth for 3 days. She's smoked once before but only for a day. The past 3 days she's been smoking nothing has really happened except her chest getting a tightening up feeling. However, today she says her arm started bothering her. She feels like she has to keep it in an outreach position, and she is getting cold, sharp sensations in the left side of her chest. She says it's not a chest pain it's just cold, sharp sensations. Has anyone ever experienced this ? What do you think this is?

Hi,

It appears that your girl friend is suffering from meth intoxication. Meth causes the heart to beat faster and also raises the blood pressure. This makes the heart work harder and can cause a tightened up feeling in the chest. Though abnormal sensations are common in heavy use of meth, they may also be due to excessive load on the heart/ So, in my opinion, your girl friend should refrain from using meth anymore. If she continues, there is even the risk of suffering from a heart attack.

Hope this helps her. Best wishes.
