Feeling Constantly Hungry, Nervousness And Anxiety. Do I Have Hypoglycemia?

well lately i have been feeling constantly hungry no matter what i eat...i feel nervous and shaky also. i tried bringing my blood sugar up using the 15minute hypoglycemic treatment but even that hasnt worked. (i havent been diagnosed with hypoglycemia but i match the symptoms) i also suffer from anxiety ... but right now i just want to stop feeling so starving! what can i do?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thanks for your question...

Firstly, I think you need to be properly checked if you have diabetes, which could be a reason for your excessive appetite. If you have not had proper lab tests done, I would suggest that you consult your GP and have the 'fasting' and post-prandial' sugar tests done.

Secondly, the symptoms which you have mentioned could also be as a result of anxiety. Feeling nervous, shaky and possibly, your constant feeling of hunger also, could very well be physical manifestations of anxiety.

So, I would suggest that you consult your GP, explain your symptoms and have a proper assessment done. If you sugars are normal, and if your doctor feels that your symptoms are largely anxiety-related, then you may need help to control your anxiety, which would inturn relieveyour physical symptoms as well.
