Feeling Of Hair In Back Of Throat And Lumps In Back Of Tongue. Serious?

Hiya, I have a feeling of a hair at the back of the throat. I have had it for about 3 weeks now. I had it a 7 months ago and it went after about a month. I have gargled, brushed and scraped my tongue, eaten a spoonful of peanut butter, dry bread etc.
last night I was brushing my teeth and tongue, and noticed some large lumps at the back of my tongue.
I don't have acid reflux or indigestion. I do suffer with ptsd - and I have had a very very stressful 9 months, but this is making me more stressed and worried. Please could you tell me what this is? i'm so worried its something serious, and im scared of going to the gp.

hi dear,
the history and symptoms you have mentioned are pointing towards a psychogenic rather than organic problem, most likely you suffer from globus hystericus.
the lumps you noticed on your are probably circumvallate papillae( normal structure),hence dont panic . please dont scrape the tongue as this may cause other problems and aggravate the existing one.
for confirmation sake you may get a laryngeal video endoscopy done and watch the video of your normal back of throat . this may relieve you of the stress.
you dont actually need treatment for the"hair in the back of throat" rather please visit your psychiatrist and learn some relaxation techinques.
good luck and god bless.
