Feeling Sick, Threw Up, Shaky, Cold And Tired . What Does This Mean??
hi my name is Sharmane i am 22 years old. for about 5 days now i have been feeling sick like i wanted to throw up but i just put it down to hunger pains because i would only feel it in the morning and night and every time i ate something i felt a little better. but today i actually did throw up and then straight after i felt shaky, cold and tiered what does this mean??
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to: 1. Any infection in the Gastrointestinal tract. 2. Inadequate hydration status & electrolyte balance of the body. 3. Peptic ulcer- pain in case of duodenal ulcer is relieved on eating.
The sensation of shaking, cold & tiredness can be attributed to the state of electrolyte imbalance in the body due to vomiting. Though symptomatic relief can be obtained by intake of anti-emetics, the underlying cause for the symptoms need to be treated.
So, kindly consult a Gastroenterologist & get a proper clinical examination done. Investigations like complete blood count, estimation of blood pressure and blood sugar levels, Ultrasound scan of abdomen & endoscopy will be helpful to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.
Wishing a Good Health. Thanks & take care.
