Feeling Strong Pulsation In Upper Left Abdomen Under Rib Cage. History Of Stomach Problems, Having IBS. Any Ideas?

I am a 25 year old female and weigh 126 lbs and have always had a strong abdominal pulse but in the past few days i have been having really strong pulsations on my upper left abdomen under my rib cage. Its only when i sit or lie down but its so strong its annoying me. There is no pain just now but i have had a lot of stomach problems in the past and have ibs

Thanks for your query. This is due to hyper movement of GIT.
You are advised the following
•     Domperidone 10 mg three times daily
•     Reduce your diet to half
•     Avoid all fatty foods
•     Cut down all protein foods to half
•     Avoid spicy and citrus foods.
•     Don’t take stomach full rather you can take frequent meal to avoid bloating

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Feeling pulsation in upper abdomen could be due to aortic aneurysm or enlarged ventricles of heart, or some swelling in abdomen pressing on aorta.
Get USG abdomen done for any intra abdominal mass, and aortic dilatation.
Get ECHO done for your cardiac evaluation.

Consult your doctor for examination and management.
