Feels Like The Tip Of My Ear Hurts, But When

Feels like the tip of my ear hurts, but when I touch it doesn't. It feel like it might be behnd my ear and radiating to my ear. It's so hard to describe. Started yesterday. It throbs every few minutes or so with a sharp severe pain. It seems like it might be causing pain on that side of my entire head (dull). I haven't been sick at all leading up to this happening.
