Fell Down On Both Knees. Got Swelling. Seemed To Have Lob-sided Plus Clicked. Now Having Pain In Legs. Suggestions?

Hi, I fell on both my knees 4months ago, I think they both dislocated and were cut very very bad, I say I think I dilocated them cause when the swelling went down they looked lobsided plus clicked when ii push down hard, now 4months on I'm getting very strong shooting pain thru my legs, could ther be something inside or is this natural for a knee injury thanks

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

Shooting pain in legs is not a common symptom after knee injury until unless there is stretching or compression of nerve supplying to leg.You should also rule out other reason like compression of nerve in back,stretching of nerve during injury ,etc.If you are already having diabetes or high blood pressure then this pain can be due to diabetes or high blood pressure.I used to prescribe combination of tramadol with paracetamol for these symptoms.
