Hi Dr, I m a 40 year old female non smoker and had a fever of 100.9 on Monday and a really bad head cold and today still feeling a little under the weather. I noticed a hard sore bump on the back of my tongue it s a little yellow whitish in color. I m wondering what this could be. Also my ears ach a little on the left and sides of tongue are also sore.
it is sinus as the infective mucus drip of sinus fall in throat it can cause bump on back of throat and fever is due to infection get ent specialist advise to treat it but you can use short course of sinus specific antibiotic like metronidazole anti allergic to reduce mucus antacid to prevent reflux neomycin h ointment in nose bd sea water 1 drop at night each nose apply tramsolone mouth paint on throat for bumps analgesic sos for fever or pain
