General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
When fever is not diagnosed proper then this condition is called Pyrexia of Unknown Origin (PUO ).
This is common and some times it is difficult to diagnose.
In case of your father it requires evaluation.
Go for few investigations to come to diagnosis.
consult physician and get examined.
He may require to go certain investigations like,
Complete Blood Checking,
X ray chest,
Urine check up,
Ultra sound examination.
give him light diet and keep him well hydrated.
Ok and take care.
