Fever Rises In Evening, Weakness, Dizziness. Paracetamol Not Helping. Can Take Norfloxacin?

Hi Sir.. I am 30 years old. I have fever from one week. It rises in the evening. I do have weakness and dizziness. I am feeling very low and dull. I have taken Tablets containing paracetamol, but again it's not helping me. I have got Norfloxacin 500 mg tablets. I think it's a viral fever I am having, Can i take Norfloxacin dosage for three days? Please suggest me what to do next?

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Fever present from last 7 days and paracetamol is not effective .
Now you want to use Norfloxacin 500 mg as you are thinking that you have flu.
In my opinion whole process is wrong.
This is a carelessness , get in blood for typhoid fever as ,you mentioned that there is evening rise of temperature .
2nd get in blood for C B C, E S R & serum bilirubin level to rule out jaundice ( most common in this type of cases).
If E S R very high ( >50 mm of Hg) then consult a physician and get his opinion.
Self medication ( nrfloxacin ) will not yield any result.

Hi,
As one week is passed of having fever, viral fever is less likely.
It requires evaluation.
Go for complete blood count.
Go for S.Widal test to rule out typhoid.
After report go for treatment accordingly.
Going for antibiotic like Norfloxaciline is not advisable without consulting your doctor.
Take light diet.
Take plenty of water.
Meanwhile take paracetamol as and when required.
Ok and take care.
