Fever That Goes While Sleeping. Taking Advil. Used Different Hair Dye, Have Psoriasis. Cause Of Fever?

I have a fever that goes away while I sleep but comes back a few hours after I wake up. I took 3 advil but it didn't do much My temp went from 100.9 to 100.3 It never went over 101.1 but outside of chills and fever I feel fine. I did use a different dye on my hair and I didn't like the smell but a strand test didn't show anything so I used it anyway. Could that be the cause? I haven't been out in the heat not done anything unusual. I have psoraisis but I don't think that could be the cause. I do have what may be a bug bite or a fungal infection(not sure) but it's been there a while.

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
If you have pustular type of psoriasis (pus-filled blisters), it may be a cause for your fever
There are plenty of causes for fever in night.
One of most known cause is malarial infection.
Please do Peripheral smear for malarial parasite to rulout malaria.
Evening rise in temperature is a well known symptom of Tuberculosis.
First thing is how manys you have this type of fever?
Whether it is associated with night sweats are not?
Is there any other associated symptoms like cough, cold, burning while urination or bony pain, joint pain, headache etc.

if nothing is associated with fever, you must have to do some investigation to find the cause.
1. Complete blood count
2. Urinalysis
3. Liver function test- for elevated bile salts and enzymes

These investigations are essential to diagnose the cause of fever.
Please consult your family doctor with these reports.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

Hello,
thanks for writing to hcm,

As per your clinical presentation it seems that fever either can be of unknown origin(puo) or can be due to cold which resulted from the your dye...
no psoriasis doesn't cause fever.advil is not for fever ..try for antipyretic drugs..if fever stays for more than 4 days i would like to suggest you to go for blood test and visit a
physician....
take care
