Fever With Hot Hands And Cold Feet, Should I Be Concerned ?
My 12 yr old daughter has been on amoxicillin for past 10 days and finished yesterday, for sinus infection I believe. On Saturday she ran 3 miles and Sunday had a swim meet. She has been complaining of soreness and muscle fatigue for past day. Tonight she woke up with a 101.1 degree fever. Face , hands and chest hot while feet ice cold. Wife worried!! Should I be concerned. So far treated with 3.5 tsp motrin and cold compress.

Hi well come to HCM
After 10 days of Antibiotic if temp is persistant You shoud concern your doctor
imeediately to Whether there is need to change Antibiotic or further investigation
to Diagnose the cause of fever.

Hi,thanks for query.It is better that you take her to doctor for further examination and investigation.Normally after a effective course of antibiotics fever should not come,but as it has come,she may need some investigation like blood counts,urine exa,etc.It is possible that physical strain may have lead to fever again.Give her plenty of fluids,light diet.
