Fever With Sore Throat And Cough, Is It Swine Flu ?
Hi.. I am 30 year, female. I have been having fever with cough and sore throat since last couple of days. My daughter who is 7yr has had fever last week and now I have similar problem.. Is it swine flu ? Please help
Hi.. These are the symptoms of viral fever. Swine flu is caused with H1N1 influenza virus and the infection is similar to any viral fever. So it is difficult to diagnose viral fever based on symptoms. The diagnosis can only be done by a throat swab test. You can get one done after consulting your doctor.
Watch out for signs of a flu like breathing discomfort, fast and increased breathing rate, chest pain, vomiting. You need to visit the ER immediately if you develop any such symptoms as these may be the features that suggest you may be developing the complications secondary to a swine flu.
