Feverish. Advised Malarial Parasite Test, Complete Blood Test, HIV .Any Diet Restriction?

hello doctor i am 41 years and i am having an esr of 40 so what does it mean and how do i control it. i just cant explain about the symptoms but i some times feel feverish. the doctor has suggested for a malarial parasite test complete blood test and also HIV is it okay cause i am not married and how can i go for all these tests. and can u tell me what happens when there is a rise in the esr rate pls advice. what are the vegetable i have to take and what are the things i should avoid.

Welcome to HCM.
ESR is Erythrocyte Sedimentation rate which is an indicator of inflammation in the body. It is not a diagnostic test. It is just a screening test done to rule out any infection or autoimmune reaction. Normal ESR is around 15 mm/hour.
Your doctor wants to rule out all infections which cause high ESR and hence has prescribed all these tests.
Causes of high ESR include - systemic infections meaning infections of whole of body like blood infections, TB, bacterial infections etc.
Some autoimmune disorders also present with high ESR.
So this shows that ESR test is not diagnostic, further testing is required to confirm diagnosis.
I suggest you undergo all the tests advised by your doctor to find the real cause of infection so that it can be treated effectively.
Right now there is no diet restriction. Drink lots of water. Have a healthy diet.
