Hi
sir,
Fibroid is a benign tumour(not cancerous) of uteirne muscle..
TYpes of which are
1.subserosal
2.sub mucosal
3.intramural..
Generally submucosal fibroid cause heavy bleeding and lead to anemia(low
hemoglobin).
Sub serosal fibroids generally doesn't cause heavy bleeding but due to their size,it exerts a pressure on underlying bladder and cause urination problems..
If their size is more enough,it causes alteration of normal endometrial lining which may hinder in normal development of growing embryo..
Lupride depot is a medical management of fibroids..it contains leupride acetate which decreases the size of fibroid..
as such it is not prescribed alone unless planned for surgery..the main disadvantage for these depot is fibroid will grow to the normal size once the treatment is stopped..
My suggestion is better go for open surgery that is myomectomy,,In this only the fibroid mass is removed leaving behind the
uterus there.so you may plan for
pregnancy later..
In the query you didn't mention how many fibroids are there..you told that many are there.
Better consult gynaecologist for further suggestion..
Thank you
