Fire Feeling In Chest, Throat. Is It Heartburn, How Long Will It Last? Will Pano Dole Help?
Hi I have never had this feeling before I'm pretty sure it's just heart burn I have a weird strong fire feeling in my chest and throat I drank some water and it got worse and had a glass of milk and it didn't do anything. Then I had some acid reflex gel and it's still burning is it safe to take pano dole ? My partner thinks it's heartburn and I got it because I ate and then worked out, if it is how long does it last for? Thank you
Heart burn or GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) can present with burning discomfort in the chest or upper abdomen, bloating, acid taste in the mouth, excess salivation, nausea, vomiting, cough.
To help relieve your present discomfort there are different medications available. Some useful medications are prilosec, prevacid, nexium, protonix, pepcid.
In the future to avoid a recurrent episode the following are usually suggested: use small meals, avoid skipping meals, weight loss if there is any excess weight, reduce the use of spicy/acidic/fatty or fried foods.
I hope this helps
