Flares In Sun Or When Exposed To UV Rays. Tried Sauna, Helps Raynaud's Symptoms. Any Studies On SLE?
Hi. I am a person who flares when in the sun or exposure to UV rays from floresent lights. Now there is a therapy device available that uses infared light sources. I have tried this sauna several times with no bad reaction. In fact it helps my raynaud's symptoms in a very positive way. Has there been any studies on infared light therapy and SLE?/ photosensitivity? Any cotraindications documented?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I am not very much sure about it, Raynaud's Disease is sub category of SLE and in both the condition the pathophysiology or etiology is autoimmune disorder and some aggravating factor has to be avoided the over all and effective treatment is steroids and for life threatening reaction Epinepherine is the only way certain drugs like androgen and antihistamine can be tried for long term precaution mortality or morbidity is uncommon, hope this will guide you or help you have nice day
