Flat, Scaly, Red Patch On Back Of Leg. What Could It Be?

Hi I recently noticed a flat, non itchy red scaly patch on the back of my leg (below the calf)
At first I thought it was irritation due to shaving and my poking at an ingrown hair but it has not gone away-its been a little over a week - closer to 2 weeks. What could it be? It looks a little like Ringworm or Eczema-I've never had either before

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,scaly red patch on back of leg could be either due to excessive dryness over the area or due to a fungal infection probably due to shaving.Fungal scraping from the area can confirm the diagnosis.Excessive drying can be treated with a good moisturiser.Antifungal creams and medications are available for fungal infections which can be used after confirmation of fungal scraping by a dermatologist.Thankyou.
