Flu, Conjunctivitis, stress. Left Tampon Inside And Used One More. What Could Be Done?
Hey, I have been really stressed and not sleeping well due to all this I left a tampon in thinking I had taken it out then used another one without realising there was still one in I then wake up during the night and realise its still in almost 16hrs later what should I do? I've been sick aswell, with the flu and conjunctivitis so my immune system atm isn't great
It is possible that you forgot to remove the older one and put in a new one. As soon you realize your mistake, you must remove the newer one and also the older one immediately. If you are unable to remove the older one by yourself, please go to ER and get it removed because it is over 16 hours and tampons should not be left inside for more than 8 hours. The tampon cannot go missing in the vagina, at most it is displaced upwards and held tightly close to the cervix and posterior vaginal fornix.
You also need to take care of your flu and conjunctivitis and both conditions can be stressful. You may need to apply antibiotic eyedrops for quick recovery.
Hope this helps
