Fluid Filled Reddish Bumps On The Neck And Scalp. On Warfarin. Is That The Reason?

my boyfriend has red bumps on the back of his neck and on his scalp. they don't hurt, or itch. When I pop them for him it is clear like fluid that comes on first then blood. He take warfarin blood thinning meds which have been increased in dosage, could that cause these marks? I never get them so I assume its not bug infestation?

Hi thanks for writing to Health care magic. The lesions you described seems to be suggestive of boils .It is infection of hair roots.Use good antiseptic soap.start applying antibiotic cream like mupirocin twice daily.Do not try to squeeze them otherwise there is chance of spreading infections.Continue with warfarin.I hope this can solve your problem to some extent.Take care.
