Fluttering In Stomach With Anxiety. History Of Irregular Intake Of Birth Control Pills And Having Unprotected Sex. Due For Periods In A Week. Possible Pregnancy?

Hi,
I'm on the birth control pill tri-sprintec and I have been for about 4 yrs now. I don't take it religiously however I finished the last pack and had unprotected sex just before starting the new pack. I'm now a week away from starting my period again but I've been having fluttering in my stomach and movement. I do have alot of anxiety which could be making it worse but I want to know if that could only mean pregnancy. Thanks.

Thanks for the query.

The possibility of pregnancy is less.
Because if you used the active pills as per the schedule they will give protection during the pill free week also.
So the symptoms you are experiencing could be due to premenstrual phase and anxiety.
If you have missed any active pills then the possibility of pregnancy is there.
In that case if you miss your expected date of periods, go for pregnancy test once.
