Foot Injury, Bruising And Swelling, Burning Sensation On Top Of Foot, Tender To Touch. MRI Needed?
4 weeks ago I fell about 4 feet into a hole and landed on my left foot . The bottom of my foot took most of the impact. It swelled a little with some bruising on bottom. I went to the dr a couple of days later and xrays were taken. No broken bones found. The swelling has gone down but now I have a burning sensation on the top of my foot. Also, the top of my foot is a little tender to the touch. My toes seem fine but I really can t move the two little toes. Should I go back to the dr and get an MRI?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hi and welcome to HCM
From description , it seems you might developed soft tisse injury over foot. Now after 4 weeks if pain is severe and burning in nature ,I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
