Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For How Long After Treatment Is Scabies Infectious?
My father was diagnosed with scabies and I treated my whole family (4 of us) three times within 1 and 1/2 weeks. I have cleaned all the bedding left the house for five days and within that time we did two more treatments. Came back home after the third treatment and thought we would be okay. I have wiped everything down with Clorox wipes, vacuumed the floors, and washed all laundry in hot water and continue to do so. We have been treated with 5% Perthrim (sorry missed spelled) I am still having spots showing up and feel prickly feeling. I treated those areas that I felt that. I am also see other spots just suddenly appearing. Is this normal for post treatment?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, scabies is well treated and easily cured with the proper care and management, but this could also cause the panic attack and some time create functional condition which in fact may not be scabies, so better confirm this, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
