For How Long Does The Effect Of Contraceptive Pills Remain?

Hi I am shaday I was taking contraceptive pills in july i didn't c my period because I didn't stop taking them but I had sex in August for 1whole week nd im pregnant I thought I was 13weeks but wen I go to the clinic the nurse says im 17weeks hows that possible?

Welcome to HCM & thanks for asking your question. Let me give you my opinion regarding your query.
Oral contraceptive pills are effective only for that cycle and it will not have any effect on the past cycle or future cycles. So if you had taken pills regularly in july and did not miss any pill, then there are very rare chances that you become pregnant. So if you had sex in august, then you should be pregnant of not more than 4 weeks of your last period date.
So i would recommend you to confirm it by ultrasound by qualified genecologist, because nurse can not surely tell you your pregnancy weeks.
