Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For many years I have had acid reflux and pain in my stomach. It's better when I eat and a little better even by drinking water. It is worse in the last few months. I have had nausea for the last couple weeks. A couple of times I was almost at the point of throwing up. It seems to get a little better when I take Ranitidine, however I don't want to over medicate on over the counter drugs. If I eat something hot it actually burns and if I drink something cold I can actually feel as it goes down. Is nausea normal with acid reflux? It's been years since I saw a doctor for this. If I go to the doctor what questions should I ask and what symptoms should I be sure to give the doctor. Thank you
