For The Past Month I Have Had Very Tender Papillae

For the past month I have had very tender papillae at the front of my tounge that feel swollen and are painful all the time, especially when I eat. I have also for the past 3 weeks had a sore throat and a cough producing mucous. The cough seems to be better over the past 2 days. I have a history of a sore throat on a regular basis. This pain goes down through my throat and felt in my ears. I also have a smooth lump on the hard palate of mouth on the left side, midway between my teeth and the centre. This is not discoloured or painful.

I am a 30 year old non smoker and consume alcohol rarely at social events. I am otherwise fit and well. I have been under alot of stress at work lately.

I am absolutely terrified of mouth cancer. I have 3 young children. I am planning to see a doctor tomorrow but can't sleep with worry and my husband is working away.
