For the state of Minnesota… When there is a person who cannot take care of themselves whatsoever in their home, and no one can come to help them, my understanding is 911 is called. 911 takes the person to the hospital where they are put on a 72 hour hold. A doctor assesses the situation. What does that mean to say the doctor assesses the situation? What kind of questions do they ask; who do they ask; and what is then the procedure or protocol to follow?
