Endometriosis may be asymptomatic in 1/3 of the women who have it.
Endometriosis depends on the cyclic production of hormones during the menstrual cycle and this is the basis of treatment. The mainstays of treatment are: oral contraceptive pill, a medication called danazol, progestational medications and gonadatrophin releasing analogs
Danazol suppresses the release of the reproductive hormones
Progestational medications cause a decrease in amount of the endometrium
gonadatrophin releasing analogs also result in a decrease in the hormone level.
Her doctor will discuss the options and which would be better for her.
I hope this helps
