Frequent Candidia Infections, Itching, Burning Sensation When Reaching The Last Strip. On Contraceptive Pills. Advise?
I am a mother of three, on contraception of pills, am constantly disturbed by Candida especially when my periods are approaching, what should i do???
when i get on the last strip of the white pills get the itch and like burning sensation, all through my periods until after then it subsides. Then again as i approach my periods the cycle of itch comes back.
Hi, Thank you for bringing your problem to us. Well, if you are sexually active, this could be an STD and you need to go see a doctor about this. If you are not sexually active, you could have a yeast infection (aka thrush). This could be caused by the amount of hormones (estrogen) in your body which can be increased from birth control and excessively high towards onset of menses. Hormones interfere with the ability to metabolise sugar. Yeast feeds on sugar, and if there is extra sugar in the body, yeast will use it to grow. Consult MD to rule out an STD and prescription of an appropriate anti-fungal agent. Thank you
