Frequent Headaches, Neck And Shoulder Pain, Dizziness, Weakness, Burning Sensation In Foot. What Is Wrong?
hi ,I have frequent head aches, neck and shoulder pain, dizziness and sometime weakness to my legs specially my right leg. I also have burning sensation to my right foot on and off. Any idea what wrong with me ? What kind of specialist I should look for? My primary physician continue to give me different pain medications. I am experiencing only temporarily relief
You seem to be suffering from pinched nerves in the neck and back region due to slipped discs. This would need to be evaluated by a neurologist. After physical examination and history, he may order for MRI of spine, which would confirm the diagnosis.
I agree that pain killers would only provide temporary relief of symptoms. Appropriate medications would include pregabalin or gabapentin. In addition, physiotherapy would also be helpful.
I hope it helps. Best wishes, Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology) Senior Consultant Neurologist Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad
