Frequent Migraine, Dizziness, Sound In Head And Ears, Extreme Stress. No Relief From Nasal Mist. Have Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Arthritis. Help

I am 58yr old female. I have fibromyalgia, diabetes, arthritis in neck, back, hip, and knees. My major problem right now is migraines frequently, whoosing sound in my head and ears, dizziness, can't think straight. I can't deal with pain and noise. I realized that I have had noises in my head since I was younger but they were only present if I was in the water up to my neck. I let my Dr. know and she believes it's sinus problems and gave me nasal mist which I don't seem to feel any relief. I'm also EXTREMELY STRESSED and trying to cope with things on my own since my husband passed away 2 yrs ago. I can't think of all the things need to say. PLeas help me!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Migraine , dizziness, sounds in ear & head,irritation .
May be due to tension ( stress) as you yourself mentioned in query.
2nd reason may be due to hormonal imbalance.
In this age group , usually estradiol ( estrogen ) diminishes while F S H increases .
This imbalance of hormones develops vaso-motor symptoms.
Due to vaso motor symptoms patients develops irritation, dryness mouth, hot flashes etc.
So please calm down , consult a physician / psychiatrist and get their opinion.
Hope I have answered your question .
If further any question I will help.
Good luck.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Mayank Bhargava's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
With the available described symptoms, there could be possibility of Meniere's disease, migraine and generalized anxiety disorders.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ neurologist and ENT surgeon simultaneously.
You should also go for endoscopic nasal thorough check up and MRI brain.
Sinusitis could lead to above mentioned symptoms and inhalational therapy along with antibiotics should be taken to relive from infection.
You should also take tricyclic anti-depressants for releif of your symptoms.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava

I ringing sound in the ear is called Tinnitus.
It may be due to migraine or it may an ear problem.

It may be due to middle ear infection.
