The commonest disease that causes frequent urination is diabetes mellitus. If you have a family history of a relative who has this condition, this makes the likelihood even more stronger. I suggest a fasting blood glucose to my patients who do present with such symptoms. It is however not very rare to see patients that have urinary tract infections that also do present with excessive urination. It is of utmost importance to get these two conditions tested for before thinking about some other thing.
I therefore recommend you consult your primary care physician for a complete physical examination and screening for diabetes and a urinary tract infection first. thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health.
