From the May of 2015 to the November of 2015 I experienced burning in my urethra, frequent urge to urinate and foul smelling urine.
From the November of 2015 till the June of 2016, the symptoms changed. The burning pain was replaced by internal urethral itching due to dehydration. Foul smelling urine continued to appear.
Then around the July of 2016 the symptoms again changed slightly. I no longer experienced itching and burning in my urethra due to dehydration. Instead, internal urethral itching began to be caused by urine retention. Smelly urine and the feeling of a full bladder at all times continued.
Around a month back, a completely new symptom appeared. I began to feel tremendous itching in my labia, the mouth of my urethra, and the hood of my clitoris.
About a fortnight ago I visited a urologist. He diagnosed me with ‘Chronic Cystitis' (I've had Cystitis before), asked me to undergo a few tests, prescribed certain medication and advised me to show up for a Cystoscopy with biopsy under general anesthesia whenever possible.
The medication he prescribed was: Urifast and Duoflo capsules, plus an Estrogen ointment for external application in my genital area.
I was taking the medication regularly and all the symptoms had disappeared, but it caused bad constipation, so I stopped taking them after a week. The burning, the frequent urination, and the foul smelling urine have not returned, but the tremendous itching has. Moreover, the urine test report states that my urine does not contain any pathogens.
I want to know what is causing the itch. My case is NOT like the cases of other women! Neither does the itch involve my vaginal opening and nor is it a side effect of drugs. The itching is specifically at the mouth of the urethra, in my labia and the hood of my clitoris. When I rub myself for relief, a white, odourless liquid is released and spreads rapidly around.
Please tell me the cause of my itch.
A few things you must know:
1) I am a 43 year old virgin with excellent hygiene
2) I was diagnosed with ‘Terminal Ilietis' and ‘Polycystic Ovaries’ in early 2009 for which I never took any medication
3) I was diagnosed with ‘Hypothyroidism’ in the January of 2016. After visiting a gynecologist, I was prescribed ‘Thyronorm’ and ‘Novelon’.
Thank you.
